A milestone birthday photoshoot: celebrate you
Turning 30, 40, 50 or 60? Why so many people mark a milestone birthday with a make-over photoshoot, and how to make it yours.
A milestone birthday is a moment to stop and celebrate how far you've come. More and more people are marking theirs with a make-over photoshoot: a few hours that are completely about them, and portraits they'll look back on for years.
Why a photoshoot?
- It's an experience, not just a gift. Champagne on arrival, professional hair and make-up, and an award-winning photographer who guides every pose.
- You'll see yourself differently. Many clients tell us they arrived nervous and left feeling more confident than they have in years.
- The photos last. Portraits for your wall, an album for the family, or a few favourites just for you.
Ideas to make it yours
- Choose a mood. Classic black and white, soft and elegant, or bold and glamorous. Your photographer will help you decide.
- Bring something meaningful. A dress you love, jewellery from someone special, or an outfit that says "this is me at 40".
- Make it a celebration. Some clients bring a friend or their daughter along; others make a weekend of it and travel to one of our studios.
Giving it as a gift
A photoshoot makes a memorable present for a partner, mum or best friend's big birthday. Our gift cards cover the full $395 experience, and you can add extra credit towards their images.
What it costs
Your photoshoot experience is $395, including champagne, hair and make-up, and seeing all your images the same day. Allow 3–4 hours. Most people spend between $800 and $2,000 on their images, and some choose to pay over time. See pricing for details.
