A boudoir shoot as a wedding gift
Why so many brides give their partner a boudoir album, when to book it, and how to keep it a surprise.
A bridal boudoir album is one of the most personal wedding gifts you can give: something just for your partner, opened on the morning of the wedding or the night before. It's also a gift to yourself, and a chance to feel incredible in the lead-up to the big day.
When to book
Book your shoot two to three months before the wedding. That leaves plenty of time to choose your images and for your album or prints to be ready, without adding pressure in the final weeks.
Ideas that make it personal
- Wear something from the day. Your veil, a garter, your wedding shoes or the lingerie you'll wear under your dress.
- Add a nod to your partner. Their shirt, a jersey from their team, or your engagement ring in close-up.
- Choose a mood. Soft and romantic, classic black and white, or bold and glamorous. Your photographer will help you decide.
Keeping it a surprise
Tell us it's a surprise and we'll keep it that way: we'll contact you only the way you choose. Many brides bring a friend or their bridesmaids along for the fun of it.
What's included
Your photoshoot experience is $395: champagne on arrival, professional hair and make-up (a great trial run for the wedding), and your shoot with an award-winning photographer. You'll see all your images the same day and choose your favourites. Most people spend between $800 and $2,000 on their images, and some choose to pay over time. See pricing.
